So how was it for you?

THAT was pretty special, wasn't it? And what a great way to finish the birthday blog!

It may have been short, but yesterday's programme of events in the city centre - with the stunning pageant as its centrepiece - was definitely sweet.
And Liverpool's 800th birthday celebrations - although there were a few hours in the day when more events could have been packed in - proved that this city is well capable of throwing a damn good party.
Roll on 2008, then!
I hope you've enjoyed reading this birthday blog over the past couple of months or so - including the birthday letters specials.
